Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Venkatesh Iyer, and Varun Chakravarthy have been retained by IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for IPL 2022. According to the IPL 2022 retention list, most clubs keep four players, the maximum amount permitted by Indian cricket’s governing body.
Two more franchises will be to the IPL in 2022. (from Ahmedabad and Lucknow). As with the IPL 2011, the bulk of players are to be auctioned off, and the cash-rich tournament will feature yet another spectacular auction. In IPL 2021, KKR finished second to CSK after losing the final by 27 runs. Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik, the franchise’s current leadership group, do not seem interested in staying on.

KKR Team 2022 IPL Retained Players
IPL 2021 debutant Venkatesh Iyer has 370 runs and three wickets in ten games this season. KKR will also not risk losing Varun Chakravarthy, who has been instrumental in the team’s success over the last two seasons. The West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has been an x-factor for KKR for a while. Russell has won the game for franchise single-handedly in the past and has a huge ability to destroy the opponent’s bowling attack.
He is a great fielder too, with his added bowling abilities, KKR will surely want to take the services of the all-rounder in the future. He remained economical and picked up crucial wickets there for KKR.He contains the power to not only smash a ton in the last 10 overs but can get crucial wickets by bowling at the death. He is regarded as one of the most ruthless finishers in the shortest format.
