Lucknow Super Giants Team 2022 Player List, Match Dates

From the 15th season onwards, the Lucknow Super Giants will be one of two new franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Sanjeev Goenka’s RPSG Group owns the squad situated in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. RPSG Group secured the rights to manage Lucknow super giants team with a bid of approximately Rs 7,090 crore, making it the most expensive franchise in IPL history. The BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow will host the team’s home matches.

Lucknow Super Giants Team 2022

The two-day IPL super auction concluded successfully on February 13 in Bangalore, with clubs receiving their preferred players. It was intriguing for two new teams, the Lucknow Super Giants and the Gujarat Titans, to put together a team to kick off their new seasons. Lucknow has signed KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi before the major auction.

Thanks to Gautam Gambhir’s methods, the Lucknow team did very well with team-building on day one of the auction. While LSG paid INR 17 crore for KL as their leadership option, all-rounder Stoinis was only paid INR 9.25 crore. On the other hand, the new franchise paid INR four crore for the services of youthful leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi.

On the first day, LSG also signed all-rounder Krunal Pandya, released by the Mumbai Indians. The signing of Deepak Hooda was something that drew all the supporters’ attention. After their troubles last year, fans would be interested in watching Hooda and Pandya play together.

It would be fascinating to observe when the Lucknow team has the opportunity to play several games at their home ground. Due to COVID-19 issues, the IPL 2022 will be held in Maharashtra.

• The Lucknow-based franchise has officially declared their squad name as Lucknow Super Giants through their social media accounts. In the Indian Premier League, it will now be known as LSG.
• The BCCI has announced that the IPL 2022 will begin on March 27, almost a week ahead of schedule.
• KL Rahul joins the Lucknow Super Giants for INR 17 crores, Marcus Stoinis for INR 9.2 crores, and uncapped Ravi Bishnoi for INR 4 crores.
• In the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, the Lucknow Super Giants have a purse value of 58 crores.
• According to their official Instagram account, Lucknow Supergiants is the predicted name for the Lucknow-based IPL franchise.
• The deadline for submitting a bid for the IPL 2022 mega auction is January 20, 2022.
• KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi are likely to be the Lucknow Super Giants’ first three draught picks. The team is set to be led by KL Rahul.
• If India cannot host due to the COVID19 scenario, the BCCI is likely to organize IPL 2022 in South Africa or Sri Lanka as a backup plan.
• Two new IPL clubs have set a deadline of 5 p.m. on January 22 to finalize their signings.
