Toofaan is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language sports drama film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and starring Farhan Akhtar as a national level boxer, alongside Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal in supporting roles. The film is scheduled to release on 16 July 2021 on Amazon Prime Video.

One of the most critically-acclaimed actor and director of the Bollywood industry Farhan Akhtar recently unveiled the first teaser of his upcoming film Toofaan. The film is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra who had made Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

At the trailer launch event for Toofan on Wednesday, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra was asked the difference between working on a sports biopic and a sports drama. While Rang De Basanti was fictional tale, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag was a biopic on sprinter Milkha Singh, and Toofan is a fictional sports drama about a boxer.
